The Easiest Way To Screw Up Your Ranking on Google
For every internet marketer or affiliate out there, if you do not believe in organic results for the offers you promote, you may be missing out on a lot of free prospects to your offer pages/landing pages.
I have been doing PPC for a while now and for some of the offers I promote, I do build landing pages and register a dedicated domain for them. One day, I thought to myself, why not just turn these landing pages of mine into pages that would pop up on search results. This thinking made me do some SEO magic that turned out to be beneficial at first, but went gaga some weeks later. Read on to see me mistake.
Whenever I perform searches relating to some offers I promote on the internet, I find out that many of the first page result are promoting what I’m paying(PPC) for. In my mind, I was like, if they could do it, then I probably can try to do it. Maybe, not beat them, but at least get some decent traffic from organic results.
So, I decided to spruce up my landing pages with some SEO magic. Within days, I was appearing on the first page of Google for my keywords, but not too much traffic since I was ranked around 10th on the first page.
As days passed by, my ranking for my chosen keywords and phrases jumped to number 3 position behind the company whose offers I’m running. Seeing this made me happy and I felt like an SEO guru.
I maintained this position and I started making some organic sales through my SERP rankings. About 2-3 weeks later, I performed my normal keyword search to see where I rank, but to my surprise, I saw my rankings go down to position number 5. How did this happen? Well, a new site that’s about some days old took the position number for my main keywords and key phrases.
I didn’t feel comfortable seeing this since it was my position
. I do understand this happens and I understand relevancy matters, but my content and everything was more than relevant. This new website happen to be in a blog form. So understand here that sites that come in the way of blogs get good rankings and better crawl rate than ordinary sites.
After all of this happened, I had one goal; TAKE BACK MY POSITION. I SEO tweaked my site in a way SEO experts wouldn’t advise. I introduced the h1 tags on my site to see if I can reclaim my position since I was not having any h1 tag in it before. So, I put up about 3 h1 tags on a single page, and my page was crawled by Google the next day. About 3 days later, I found I was not appearing for my keywords and phrases any more. I mean I was not even appearing up to 1000th for my keywords and key phrases. I was only showing on the result pages for my domain. Weird!
I later on researched on “overuse of h1 tags” and found out it is mostly considered spamming and manipulating the search engines when you have more than 1 h1 tag on a single page. You may have as much as of the other h tags as you want, but not the h1 tag. I learned my lessons immediately and reversed the changes I made earlier.
In a nut shell, I went from being ranked 5th on Google to being nowhere on Google. This is a lesson to anyone out there who wants to do some SEO magic. Before starting to spruce your site with some “SEO magic,” make sure you research into whatever SEO technique/element you wish to implement before the actual implementation.
I have since removed all the excess h1 tags and I am in the process of reclaiming my position. I am currently on the third pages for my keywords and phrases. My hope is that I get back to my original position.

Avoid Obama Grant Scam and Any Other Government Grant Kits
Today, the FTC held a press conference on the Obama grant scams, stimulus grant scams and other grants/stimulus related scams flooding the internet. I believe the FTC must have received a whole lot of complaints about the companies peddling these scams. So today, they officially made a statement regarding these scams.
I believe there would still be millions of out there who would still fall for these scams. The main reason is not far fetched from the fact that some people are lazy to research into online offers that promise unbelievable and unimaginable returns or gains. As I have always said, and I’ll iterate once more; before diving into any online money making program/offer/venture, make sure you research on it like you’re writing a research paper; doing this pays off at the end.
In a nutshell, all the Obama grants, stimulus grants, government grants and any other grants that ask you to pay any fee are under the radar of the FTC. The FTC argued that all government grants can be found on grants.gov… If for some reasons you’re interested in government grants, grants.gov is the best place to get them for free.
If you would like to read more on the Obama grants/stimulus grants/government grants, go to FTC press release.
Have you been scammed by these grants guys? If you have, kindly share you experience(s) in the comments section if you would like others to learn from it.

My Best Facebook Offer
I have run different offers on Facebook(FB) with no success. I am aware I’m not the only one who hasn’t gotten the desired conversion rate on Facebook as I have heard many people talk about their frustrations about its non-converting nature. The only key to winning the non-converting nature of some offers on Facebook is continual trial and testing until the desired result is achieved.
So, I tried and tried, tested and tested. Sometimes, I run offers that gets hundreds of clicks within hours(at $0.30) with no single conversion. While my offers we;re not converting, I was losing money but was focused at the same time. Over the last week, I decided to try an offer that pays $1. That’s right 1 buck. It was an “attacking” first page email submit offer. I said attacking because the landing page wasn’t cluttered and its call to action was intimidating(can’t resist). Another reason why I opted to run this offer was because Facebook is the best platform to give me the needed audience and cheapest cost per click.
I tried this offer out on Facebook and my click through surpassed anything I have ever seen before on FB. This may not sound so nice to some, but I got a 10% CTR on an offer that’s mainly targeted at one gender. With this offer, I was able to cut down my cost per click(CPC) by more than 100% while my conversion rate was within the range of 25%.
With my results, my confidence in Facebook advertising was raised a little. and my ROI was at about 100%. I’m sure you may be wondering how I was able to go from 0% conversion to about 25%, right? Well, I think I did everything differently. I decided I really don’t have to run offers that pays tens of dollars before I can make money. I said to myself, $1+$1+$1… and so on will make good money if I have good click through rates and good conversion. This simple thought led me to try the $1 offer on FB.
If you have issues with conversions on Facebook, I’d like to offer some tips that has helped me; they may help you too…
- Since Facebook ads are less targeted/contextual compared to the search engines, not every offer will do well on there. Mostly, offers that require little or no payment will do well.
- Again, since most ads that appear on FB are not triggered by a user’s search word/phrase it is very unlikely for most offers to do well. In this case, an offer that is in the form of a giveaway will mostly do well.
- An offer that is unique in it words/content and image will also do well. Here is an example: If you use Facebook regularly, you will find that the most advertised free offers are the Mac Book Air in varieties of colors. In my opinion, I think people get tired of ads they see too often and this basically will result in lower click throughs and lower conversion. An offer like this, in my opinion, will be hard to revive for high CTR and conversion.
- As with most offers, first page conversion offers will be good on Facebook. Scenario: If I could run an email submit offer(first page email submit to convert) and was at 25% conversion, what can one say about offers that don’t convert on the first page? What can one also say about offers that require some payments or converts on 2nd or third page? You can decide that yourself.
- Generally, I think VERY CHEAP offers and any other offer that appeals to a broad range of Facebook users of either gender or a particular gender(i.e. dating) will do good. Other examples will be free items that are new on the Facebook ad platform(not like the Mac Book Air).
In this post, I haven’t talked about all the offers that I think may offer the best results. I have only talked about some criterion to consider before running an offer on the Facebook platform. You really don’t have to agree with all I have said here, but test for yourself to see if some of the offers I have condemned here still hold any good.
I have heard people talk about grants offers and Google money this, Google money as some of the best performing offer on Facebook, but I think these offers are getting old by the day. These offers would still receive some decent clicks and conversions, but I think it has reached its peak and it’s declining real fast.
As usual, feel free to comment below, share your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions.

SEO, Rocket Science?
Any serious webmaster or blogger knows SEO is paramount to the success of their websites or blogs. With blogs, SEO is kinda made easy since most of the apps and plugins are SEO friendly. For websites, it is the general believe that you have to do this, do that to get ranked on the major search engines. In my opinion, I think some SEO experts, webmasters and bloggers overhype SEO implementation. My SEO experience seems to be very different from the hypes surrounding it.
I have been building websites for a while now, but over the last year and half, I have seen numerous opinions about SEO and some tricks that need to be done to rank high on SERPs. I do take note of most of these tricks and I implement them in the best way possible.
Over the last week, I set out to enter a niche that is very very saturated. When I mean saturated, I do really mean a saturated niche. I got my target keywords together, and I was ready to go. In less than 5 days, I got my desired result on SERPS; not just Google, but Yahoo! too.
So what trick or magic did I perform to get ranked on the first page(between #1 and #10) of SERPs in just 5 days?
Sincerely, I really didn’t do wonders to get ranked in just 5 days. I actually launched 2 websites and 1 is doing extremely well on SERPs and the other is catching up. So, here is what I did:
- Having known the niche I was going into, I sat down and thought about an appropriate name for the domain name. The domain name I chose was related to my main keywords. In other words, one thing I did was to make sure I have some of my keywords in my domain name. I believe this really helps when you need to get ranked on SERPs.
- When I got my domain name figured out, I decided on my page layout. I opted for a one page website and I had my keywords smiling in it. I also had my target keywords in my page title.
- What sealed the deal was my immediate sitemap submit through the Google Webmaster Tools. This way, I didn’t wait for Google to crawl the web before finding me. Instead, I took my sitemap to them and it was crawled in less than 24 hours after submission. Submitting your sitemap through the Google Webmaster Tools gives the Googlebot unfettered opportunity to access and crawl your pages ASAP. I have consistently done this each time I launch a website. I have read about the Google Sandbox and many other stufss regarding SEO, but none of them seems to have happened to me. Since I have been launching websites, it usually took less than 7 days for my pages to appear on Google.
These are basically what I did. I may have done other things that contributed to my rankings which I am unaware of, but I am sure if you just take these simple steps when launching a website, you will do good in a matter of days. I’d like to point out though, you may not be the first page, but gradually, you will pick up. Another secret is more keyword infusion and update to your websites.
I didn’t even have one backlink, and this made me go WOW! It’s good to have backlinks and all that for PR, but for SERPs, I really don’t think it’s that important.
I give the SEO experts their credit and I am not dislodging the “experts” of their ideas and hardword, I’m just saying SEO is not a rocket science. So what have you done that made a difference in your rankings on SERPs? Fell free to comment below.

$500 Pay Per Click(PPC) Advertising Money With $10 As Down Payment

The information I will be sharing here will be most valuable to new pay per click internet advertisers and maybe those who have been marketing through PPC but have little or no advertising money.
In my last post, I talked about the secrets behind the secrets of any Google money making program. I touched on very important aspects of these programs and also provided links to some of them. This post will kind of be a follow up to it.
As I explained in my earlier post, all Google money making programs basically will be preparing you to becoming an online marketer or affiliate. Most people who venture into the Google make money programs fail to understand these programs requires money to start; it’s just like you’re starting a new business. If you’re starting a new business, you will definitely need some capital to kick off — your investment. And, if you venture into the online marketing world, you’re in essence starting a new business and since many people never realized they’re starting a business, they tend to forget they need the capital to kick off.
Today, I will reveal to you how you could get up to $500 or more in PPC advertising from some of the major PPC guys– Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. Although, what I am about to reveal to you are proven, but they’re not free money. They’re not free because you’ll have to pay it back. What this means is you’re “borrowing” money from Google, Microsoft, and Facebook with no interest. To be able to execute what I am about to reveal to you, you’ll need at least $10 in your checking account(check card, not a credit card). If you have more than $10 in your checking account, just take it out before starting out.
So, what’s the deal with Google? How can I borrow money for my PPC campaign?
If you’re starting out new on the Google AdWords platform, you’ll be required to pay $5 for the activation of your account. Since all new Google AdWords accounts are post paid, you won’t have to worry paying for your PPC campaign until you reach a certain amount. Most, if not all new Google AdWords accounts are billed as soon as they reach $50 in advertising expenses. This does not mean you can’t go over $50, you actually can go as high as $200 or more before you’re billed. To “borrow” as much as $150 or greater from Google, you’ll have to go over the $50 threshold by increasing you daily budget to about $150 or more. In most cases, you’re billed within 24 hours after you go over the $50 threshold. Understand that if you’ll be “borrowing” up to or more than $50, then you’ll mostly have to run your campaign in a single day. With that said, we now have $150 out of $500(target).
How about Microsoft adCenter?
The Microsoft adCenter billing system is very similar with that of Google AdWords. You’re required to pay $5 for new account activation. The adCenter billing system is post paid too. So you can apply the same technique above with the Microsoft adCenter. With adCenter, you can also borrow as much as $150 or more. They’re slow in billing you after you reach your advertising threshold. This means you can go as high as you can until they’re ready to bill you. With Microsoft adCenter, we have just borrowed another $150. We have $300 in total for now.
Here comes Facebook advertising…
As for Facebook, you really don’t have to worry about paying any activation fee. As a new Facebook advertiser, you’re given a $250 daily spending limit. This to me means you can spend as much as $250 before you’re billed– post paid. All you have to do is know what campaigns you want to run and set your budget until it gets to $250. Facebook really don’t have any billing threshold, so you can apply the same techniques above with Facebook.
Oh, how about Yahoo Search Marketing?
Yahoo won’t allow you “borrow” money from them. I think they have a stiff fist. Yahoo won’t let you “borrow” money from them because they offer prepaid advertising to newly created accounts. Adbrite too won’t allow you borrow money from them. Sorry!
Calculation: If you apply all the above techniques, you’ll be able to “borrow” $150 in PPC advertising money from Google, $150 from Microsoft, and up to $250 from Facebook. This techniques will surely help those who really need advertising money. In total, we have about $550 PPC advertising money to “borrow.”
Charges: Like I said, you have to use your checking account or check card to do this. You should also have between $10 to $20 in your account. Here is the main secret behind your borrowing: When it’s time to bill you, it simply won’t go through because there is no sufficient amount to bill on your check card. Remember to check with your bank on how much can be overdrawn from your account before trying this.
Conclusion: I would like to emphasize once more that the PPC money you’re “borrowing” from these guys is no free money; it’s interest free and you can have up to a month or more to pay back. Google, Microsoft, and Facebook will never know they are “lending” you any money as you’re “borrowing” it indirectly. I just consider it borrowing money from them. This idea will only be valuable to you if you have profitable stuffs to market. If you’re not sure about your ROI on some specific items to promote, then it’s better not use the information provided here.
Disclaimer: All the information I have provided should not be used to engage in any unlawful and/or fraudulent acts. It’s simply what can be done when you need to get your PPC advertising going. All the information I have provided here are “AS IS” and I won’t be held responsible for ANYTHING(if any) that may happen as a result of you following through with the provided information.

Beware of Make Money Online Scams
Most of the time, we run into different offers on the internet that claim to help us achieve financial freedom, but all too often, many of us fall prey to their marketing tactics and later on call it a scam. I am writing this based on my recent observation about some money making ventures on the internet that were labeled scam.
As an online marketer, I always look for items to promote, but before I start promoting a particular product, I like to research about it and see if there are many negative reviews about it, and see what my marketing strategies would be. So I was going to promote a product about a week ago, and while I was researching, I found way too many negative reviews and bad talk about it on the internet. Like I mentioned in my previous post – Auction Work At Home — Scam or Real? – any good product on the internet would sell itself. But of it’s a bad one, you can expect to have different negatives about it on the internet.
The doors got locked on me on that item, but I realize many marketers still go ahead in marketing them. After pondering on this for some days, I came to a conclusion. The conclusion was lack of information and patience. Here is what I mean: Many people don’t take their time to read some offers on the internet. As soon as they see make thousands of dollars a week, or make hundreds of dollars working from home, they simply can’t resist those mighty words, they just jump on the wagon. Be P-A-T-I-E-N-T and read like you’re studying for an exam because you may get burnt(F).
My 2nd conclusion was that many people lack information. They lack information because they have failed to dig for it. Many of the make money programs people badmouth on the internet may not be all what their negatives say. One thing everyone should understand is that not every money making program will work for everyone. It is your responsibility to asses its potential and see if it is right for you.
The information most people(including me sometimes) fail to dig for is the terms & conditions outlined before they buy or try a product. Understand that these money making programs are other people’s ideas and you can’t expect other people’s money making ideas to always work for you. It may work for others, but it may not work for you. I believe this is one of the reasons you would always see this phrase “results may vary” on their pages.
Be wise. Read the terms and conditions carefully and know what you’re agreeing to. Many items or work from home programs on the internet that has free offer has something tied to it in its terms & conditions. They may say cancel before 14 days or something similar. If you do not cancel before the deadline, you can’t call it a scam because you agreed to their terms in the beginning.
I hope this will give you some insight into the “free trial” offers and make money online programs available on the internet today.
